Shore Excursion Leaves From Cruise Ship Pier, or an approximately 5 to 15 minute walk from the cruise ship pier.

Recommended Dress Depending on the weather, you will either get dusty or muddy. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing over a bathing suit, and bringing a change of clothes along for after the tour. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. A towel, bio-degradable sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses are also recommended. As the tour takes place in the jungle, insect repellent is recommended. For safety reasons, cameras are not permitted on the tour.

 

Restrictions Participants must be at least 18 years old to drive and present a valid driver’s license; provisional, learner, junior, or temporary licenses, as well as copies or photos, are not accepted. Passengers may join from 8 years old, provided they meet the minimum height requirement of 3 feet 11 inches (1.20 meters). The maximum age for participation is 70 years.

 

For safety and operational purposes, strict weight limits apply. Single ATVs have a maximum capacity of 287 pounds (130 kg). Double ATVs allow a combined maximum of 485 pounds (220 kg), with no individual exceeding 220 pounds (100 kg).

 

All participants must be in good health, physically capable, and self-sufficient. This activity is not suitable for guests who are pregnant or who have certain medical conditions, including but not limited to asthma, heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy, respiratory or blood pressure conditions, back or neck injuries, or recent surgeries. Guests taking medications such as antidepressants, lithium, beta-blockers, or vasoconstrictors, or those who experience anxiety or panic attacks, are also not permitted to participate. Individuals with lasting physical limitations affecting mobility, coordination, vision, or sensitivity may be denied participation at the discretion of the tour operator following a final on-site assessment.

 

A strict zero-tolerance policy is enforced for anyone under the influence of alcohol or other substances. Reckless driving that endangers participants or equipment will not be tolerated; guides reserve the right to immediately remove any guest from the tour without warning or refund. Guests are fully responsible for any damage caused to the ATV due to negligence or misuse, and compensatory fees may apply.

 

For safety reasons, cameras are not permitted during the tour. This excursion is not suitable for guests using wheelchairs or those with walking difficulties. All participants must follow the guide’s instructions at all times, and minors must be accompanied and directly supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult throughout the experience. Participation requires the signing of a mandatory waiver before the tour.

After arriving at the meeting point, you will spend approximately 30 minutes receiving a safety briefing, getting your vehicle, and then heading out to the opening of the lush jungle. Your first stop on this Cozumel ATX-Rails Expedition will be famous Jade Caverns. This botanical oasis is home to a wide variety of rare plant species such as orchids, vanilla, and palm trees. You will also marvel at the rich stalactite formations decorating the entire cavern. You will have approximately 30 minutes to walk into the cave or dive into the cavern's fresh emerald waters (cenote) and relax in this magical, exotic place before your 45-minute ride back to the starting point of the excursion.
